Descrizione vino

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a very prestigious Italian red wine, known and appreciated all over the world. Bunches are harvested, selected and fermented in stainless steel vessels at a controlled temperature for 20-25 days. Brunello di Montalcino DOCG maturation takes place in small oak barrels for 4 years, than the wine is bottled. After bottling, refinement process goes on for 10-12 months in cellar. It can be kept  for decades, if properly conserved: the bottle must be set down in a cool, dry and dark place. This wine is released on the market only 5 years after vintage.

Characteristics of this famous red wine from Tuscany

It presents a ruby, almost garnet red colour. On the nose it releases an elegant, persistent and delicate bouquet with red fruits and vanilla notes. Structured and balanced wine, persistent and tannic in taste.

Recommended pairings while tasting this Brunello di Montalcino wine

It should be served in a wide crystal glass at a temperature of 18°- 20°C. We suggest to uncork the bottle 3 hours before serving, in order to enhance its qualities. It can be paired with main courses, game meat, grilled or stewed red meat and aged chees.
