The thrust that this company gives to the Brunello is revealed by the Cru concept. The Brunello di Montalcino “Montosoli” is made in a vineyard of 5 hectares in the north-east side of Montalcino. The Sangiovese vines are located at 350-400 meters above the sea level and the grapes are vinified separately for the first time. The soil is rich of marl- siliceous calcareous referable to the Alberese with lithoidal components of the same time. The perfect exposition and the particular microclimate help the maturation of the grapes that produce an extremely complex and elegant wine. This sensational wine of Altesino for its Cru “Montosoli” has obtained important international awards. The most important is the Wine Spectator one that has defined it as the second vineyard most important in Italy.

The Brunello Montosoli has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections due to the aging. The smell has an exceptional personality with cherry, blueberry, raspberry, violet, licorice and vanilla aromas with pink pepper hints. The smell is dry, warm, velvety with a rich structure and a noble race. The end is warm and long persuasive.

It is ideal for important pairings. The roasted or grilled meat, the game and all the aged cheeses are perfect. It has to be served in Ballon wine glasses at 18°C.
