Bonarda frizzante DOC by Villa Tavernago winery is produced on the Hills of Piacenza (Colli Piacentini), in Emilia Romagna region. Grapes that give life to this red wine are 100% Bonarda. They are cultivated following the organic method. Bunches are picked by hand and placed in wooden boxes. After 6/8 days of maceration, wine undergoes a secondary fermentation in stainless steel tanks, then wine is bottled at low temperature.
Characteristics of the Bonarda "Barabina"
It presents a ruby red colour that changes in violet. It releases an intense fragrance of mixed berries, whit a pleasant aroma of black berry that stands out among the others. Fresh and bubbling on the palate and full-bodied in taste with a nice sweetish note.
Recommended pairings while tasting this Bonarda DOC
It can be paired with minestrone, soups, risotto, white meat and roast meats. It should be served in a broad wine glass at a temperature of 15°C.
