The Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle ExtraBrut is a sparkling classic method wine produced in Val D’Aosta in the Cave du Vin Blanc located between Morgex et La Salle where the vineyards achieve the 1200 m in altitude in the slope of Monte Bianco. These are the vineyards the highest in Europe. The grapes are 100% Priè Blanc de Morgex. The first fermentation takes place in larch wood barrels, in oak barrels and in steel. Follows 16 months of re-fermentation in bottles by following the classic method.
Characteristics of Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle Extra Brut
Esthetically it has a clear straw yellow color. The scent is fresh with apple and medlar flavors followed by almond and resin aromas. The taste is fresh and mineral with some cedar and white fig aromas.
Recommended pairings while tasting this Sparking wine
It is suggested to serve it at 6-8°C. It is ideal to be drunk all along the meal and it has to be taste with Saint Marcel ham.
