The Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle Piagne is a biological wine produced in Val D’Aosta in the Cave du Vin Blanc located between Morgex et La Salle where the vineyards achieve the 1200 m in altitude in the slope of Monte Bianco. These are the vineyards the highest in Europe. The grapes are 100% Priè Blanc de Morgex coming from the “La Piagne” vineyard the only “clos” of Valdigne (vineyards surrounded by wall).
Characteristics of Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle wine
Esthetically it has a clear straw yellow color with green reflections. The scent is delicate with Alpine herbs and hop flavors with a flint end. The taste surprisingly fresh and it is a combination between the Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle with almond flavors with an hay aftertaste. The end is persistent and it leaves a cedar sensation.
Recommended pairings while tasting this white wine
It is suggested to serve it at 8-10°C. It is ideal to be drunk with fresh cheese, with the Gressoney toma cheese or with the Sant Marcel ham.
