Barolo Riserva DOCG 2011 "Badarina" Bruna Grimaldi
Grimaldi Bruna travel through its family origins and supports the territory with the creation of this fabulous Barolo, that praises the DOCG denomination. “Badarina” recalls the portion of the area of Barolo where Regnola vineyard is located and the mention “Riserva” indicates only the best vintages. It has been always considered the “King of the wines of Langa”. Camilla and Bricco Ambrogio are other Crü, but they have different expositions. The Crü Badarina is located in Serralunga d’ Alba, in the heart of the area of Barolo, where the lands have a south, south-east orientation and their altitude swings between 370-420 meters above the sea level. The average age of the plants is 25 years old. This great Barolo Badarina Riserva is produced with 100% Nebbiolo da Barolo grapes, cultivated on lands full of limestone. Its alcoholic strength is 15% Vol and its traditional wine-making lasts for 30 days. The aging is developed both in tonneaux and in big barrels for 30-36 months. This wine needs a further aging in the bottle of 10-12 months, then it is ready for the selling.
