Barbera DOC GIORGI
Giorgi produces a prestigious sparkling Barbera DOC in the area of Oltrepò Pavese. This wine is composed by 100% Barber. The winery gives around 90 quintals per hectare. The grapes are selected manually during the second decade of September. The wine making starts with soft pressing and elimination of stalks, followed by fermentation and maceration in steel containers at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C, for 8-10 days. A complete malolactic fermentation is planned before the aging, managed at controlled temperature in steel for 6 months. The foam formation is the result of a second fermentation in autoclave.
Features of Barbera red wine
The organoleptic exam shows a ruby red colour full of purple reflection. The perfume is intense and elegant, with hints of cherry and wild berries. Its taste is dry, enchanting, persistent and underlined by a good tannin.

Cold cuts, main dishes, braised meat, stewed meals, aged cheese represent great pairings that give value to this traditional wine of Lombardy. It has to be served at 16°C in a high, tapered wine glass and reaches an alcoholic strength of 12% Vol.
