Barbera d'Asti Superiore "Epico" DOCG PICO MACCARIO
Barbera d’ Asti Epico praises the DOCG denomination Asti Superiore. It is one of the most representative wines produced by Pico Maccario. 100% Barbera grapes, cultivated in the area of Mombaruzzo, un the distict of Asti. The manual harvest considers a careful selection of the grapes, both in the vineyards and in the cellar. The soft pressing is followed by 10-12 days maceration. The aging is developed in small barrels made of French oak for 12-14 months.
The organoleptic exam shows an intense ruby red colour. Its scent is consistent, recalling jam, dried flowers, vanilla and cocoa. The taste is structured and well balanced with the soft tannins.

Excellent for the whole meal, it is great with game, meat and cheese. It has to be served at 16° in a high, wide wine glass that helps oxygenation. The alcoholic strength is 15% Vol.
